James
L. Comazzi, M.D., F.A.C.C
Dr. Comazzi graduated from Loma Linda University School
of Medicine in California sixth in his medical school class.
He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, the
American Heart Association, the American Medical Association,
the California Medical Association, and the Tuolumne County
Medical Society. He was elected a Fellow of the American
College of Cardiology in 1985.
In
1983 he established the first cardiology services in Tuolumne
and Calaveras Counties and has enjoyed treating tens of
thousands of patients in the past two decades. According
to Dr. Comazzi, "Most precious are the friendships and loyalties
that have resulted from my 20 years of commitment to providing
great cardiology care and the patient trust and relationships
that have resulted.
I
have been here long enough to treat not only grandparents
and parents, but their children. My patients are so concerned
about my health and welfare that they regularly ask about
my life, my family and even my parents. And I can't help
but feel the same
about them. Who wouldn't want to go 'beyond the call of
duty' for these great patients!"
His
special medical interests include pacemaker implantation
and follow-up, prevention of heart disease with lifestyle
modifications, and reversal of heart disease by referring
to the latest proven approaches combining invasive procedures,
medicines, vitamins and spiritual meditation.
Dr.
Comazzi, his wife Bonnie (a BSN nurse) and their two children
enjoy and support the recreational and cultural activities
of our county. An active sponsor of regional theater, music
festivals and many charities, Dr. Comazzi has enjoyed singing
tenor in the Columbia College Community Chorus and Sonora
Men's Chorus. He enjoys SCUBA diving, filming underwater
video, snow and water skiing, gardening and backpacking.
